Kawsu Sanyang is the proprietor of Figures and Facts Accountancy (FFA). Born in Kwinella, in the Kiang Central District of the Lower River Region in 1983, Mr. Sanyang completed his primary and junior secondary education in Kwinella. After finishing his Junior Secondary School education in 2001, he went on to Gambia High School in Banjul, where he obtained his West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) in 2004.

Mr. Sanyang pursued further studies in accountancy at the Management Development Institute (MDI). He completed courses with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), obtaining both AAT Level 3 and 4 Technician Certifications.

He then pursued a degree in Accounting and Business at the University of Plymouth (Cornwall College Campus) in the UK, graduating in 2010. In addition, Mr. Sanyang earned his Chartered Accountancy qualification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is now a fellow of the association.

In January 2023, Mr. Sanyang began a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy at Glasgow Caledonian University, graduating in July 2024 with an MSc in Professional Accountancy.

With over 10 years of professional experience, Mr. Sanyang has held key positions in reputable organizations, including The West African Examination Council (WAEC), Tony Mogford Associates (UK), Jackson Stewards Ltd (UK), and the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel). Throughout his career, he has worked as an Audit Assistant, Auditor, Accountant, and Financial Controller.

Since 2019, Mr. Sanyang has managed the finances of European Union-funded projects. He has served as Head of Finance for the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel) in The Gambia, overseeing projects such as the Rural Infrastructure and Employment Creation (RIEC) GMB170011T (EUR 7 million) and the Digitalizing the Gambia to Strengthen the ICT Sectors (DITASIS) GMB2300111 (EUR 1 million).

Mr. Sanyang is a registered member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) in the United Kingdom (Registration No. 10113797) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom (Registration No. 1385035).
